ECB, MC Group's MICE brand

The MC Group team produces events for companies in Barcelona and beyond. A large part of that work is MICE: international medical congresses, sales team conventions, programmes for groups arriving from other countries, and meetings and dinners during the major trade shows. These projects have a logic of their own, in which hotels, registration and transfers matter as much as creativity.

ECB · Eventos Corporativos Barcelona was created to give that work a home of its own. It is the MC Group brand specialising in congresses, conventions, incentive travel, meetings and DMC services in Barcelona. Behind it are Barcelona Exclusive Brand S.L., an MC Group company, and the group's team. And the motto we share: "Eventos extraordinarios".

The people behind every event

The team has more than 20 years of experience organising events. At a congress or a convention that translates into concrete things: the floor plan checked before the stand builder arrives, the running order gone through with every speaker, the stage manager who cues the next speaker at exactly the right second and the coordinator waiting at the airport for the last flight of the day.

Much of what we know we have learned by solving the unexpected: a museum that brings its closing time forward, a speaker who arrives without a presentation, a storm just as drinks are served. That is also why we teach it. The team trains new organisers at Método Murphy, the online event management training that grew out of the agency.

What we do

At ECB we focus on professional events held in Barcelona and the surrounding area:

• Congresses, national and international, as a PCO for associations, scientific societies and companies.
• Company conventions, kick-offs and annual meetings, including our own [re] Conventions Experience format.
• Incentive travel programmes of two to five days across Barcelona and Catalonia.
• Meetings and seminars, from board meetings to away days for 300 people.
• Gala dinners, product launches and trade show events.
• DMC services for companies and agencies from other countries bringing groups to the city.

Where we work

Our base is Barcelona, and this is where we produce most of our projects: in convention centres, hotels, museums, modernista buildings and venues that many visitors would never imagine could be hired. We also work throughout Catalonia, in hotels in Sitges, inland masias, Penedès wineries or the Costa Brava, when the programme calls for leaving the city. The group's offices in Madrid, London, Puebla and Mexico City bring us closer to clients in other markets, who often organise their Barcelona event remotely.

How we work

1. We listen. Before proposing anything, we understand the objective, the audience, the dates and the budget.
2. We propose quickly. First proposal within 24 business hours, with venues, format and an estimate.
3. We produce with a single point of contact. The same person stays with you from brief to final report and coordinates every supplier.
4. We are in the room. Our own team at the event, from start to finish.
5. We measure and learn. We close every project with final accounts, a survey and a report to improve the next edition.

What matters to us

• Telling the truth. If a venue does not fit, a date is a bad one or a budget falls short, we tell you at the outset.
• The details nobody sees. A ramp for a guest in a wheelchair, a properly made gluten-free menu, a coach that waits ten minutes longer.
• Teamwork. The best events come from teams that know and trust each other, suppliers included.
• Barcelona. We work in the city every week and want everyone who comes to an event to leave with a good impression of it.
