The challenge
Dataforce is the TransPerfect division specialising in data for artificial intelligence. For a group in Barcelona it wanted an evening combining culture, food and time to talk, in a place everyone would recognise as a symbol of the city.
La Pedrera is one of the most visited buildings in Barcelona, which is exactly why the challenge was to turn it into a private experience. The event had to fit around the schedule of a building open to the public, respect the rules of a World Heritage site and follow a route that went beyond a standard guided tour.
What we did
- Courtyard welcome. Guests entered through one of Casa Milà's inner courtyards, with its light and organic forms as the first image of the evening.
- Theatrical tour. A costumed guide in morning coat and top hat took the group through the building and told the story of the house in a warm, funny way.
- The attic. The route included the attic, with its brick arches, one of the most photographed spaces in Gaudí's work.
- Live music. During the evening a piano and drums duo provided the soundtrack in one of the building's rooms.
- Private dinner. The night ended with a dinner for the group in one of the spaces of the house, beneath its undulating ceilings.
- Coordination with the venue. We planned timings, access and services with the La Pedrera team to meet the building's conditions of use.
The result
Dataforce by TransPerfect gave its group a private evening in one of the best-known buildings in the world, with a route that mixed heritage, humour, music and food. A way to discover Gaudí without the queues, in an atmosphere designed around the group.
TransPerfect is a client we have worked with for years in different formats. This kind of evening fits into incentive travel programmes and works as a closing activity at company conventions. If you want to make it a more formal dinner, see gala dinners.
