What kind of events does La Pedrera suit?
It is an image venue. Few addresses explain Barcelona to an international group as well as Passeig de Gràcia and a Gaudí building. We suggest it for incentive trips with a special evening, product launches for premium brands, working sessions of 100 to 250 people in the auditorium and leadership or key client dinners. That is how we approached it for Dataforce by TransPerfect: a tour of the building, live music and dinner.
Rooms and capacities
- Auditorium: 185 seats, extendable to 250 with the side areas. VIP room and direct access to a private outdoor patio, useful for coffee breaks or drinks.
- Sala Gaudí: the building's former garages, an open-plan space with the original metal structure. Suitable for banquets, drinks receptions and presentations. It can be combined with a side area of the auditorium.
- Sala 4Gats: a more intimate space, with one of the building's most distinctive ceilings and views over Passeig de Gràcia. For drinks, dinners at a banqueting table or small sessions.
- Rooftop: Gaudí's chimneys and 360-degree views, for sunset events.
The official catalogue does not give set-up capacities for the Sala Gaudí, the Sala 4Gats or the rooftop, so we confirm them with the foundation for each proposal. Rooms are hired by half day (up to 5 hours) or full day (up to 10).
Getting there
Passeig de Gràcia, 92, on the corner of Provença. Diagonal (L3 and L5) and Passeig de Gràcia (L2, L3, L4 and Rodalies) stations. Coaches cannot stop for long on the avenue, so we coordinate quick drop-offs and pick-ups or on-foot transfers from nearby hotels.
Production tips
- World Heritage Site. Set-ups have restrictions on fixings, weight and materials. A site visit with the foundation is essential.
- Fixed time slots. A half day is 5 hours including set-up. If the production is complex, book the full day.
- Approved caterers. Only the official suppliers can work here. Choose early, as it shapes the menu, catering office and service times.
- Large group, several tours. Guided tours have a maximum of 30 people per guide. For 100 guests, organise shifts and a waiting area with drinks.
What works well nearby
Casa Batlló is a five-minute walk away. For daytime meetings with a more institutional feel, the Ateneu Barcelonès and the Reial Cercle Artístic are in the centre. And if your programme follows the modernista route, the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau provides auditoriums and working rooms.
