The challenge
Duscholux, a manufacturer of shower screens and bathroom solutions, was bringing its dealer network together for a convention. The brief was clear: original, dynamic sessions, far from the sales presentation format where the audience listens for hours without taking part.
A dealer convention has a very specific business objective. The brand needs to share news and strategy, but also to strengthen its relationship with partners who are key to sales. If the content is dull, the message is lost. If it is all leisure, the convention does not do its job.
What we did
- One concept to frame everything. We built the convention around a single idea: “The power of change”. That common thread gave coherence to the agenda, the brand content and the external talks.
- Venue. The convention was based at the Eurostars Sitges hotel on the Garraf coast, with function rooms for the sessions and outdoor areas overlooking the sea.
- External speakers. We added talks and workshops from speakers such as Emilio Duró, known for his talks on attitude and change, which tied in with the convention theme.
- Hands-on workshops. We alternated plenary sessions with workshops so dealers could work on the content themselves.
- Meals and breaks. We coordinated outdoor meals and breaks with the hotel, as time for dealers and the Duscholux team to connect.
- Technical production. Stage, sound, projection and run of show so the sessions flowed at a good pace.
The result
Duscholux brought its dealers together for a convention with a clear message and an interactive format, in which “The power of change” linked the brand's strategy with the content of the guest speakers.
Building a convention around a concept is the basis of [re] Conventions, our turnkey experiential conventions format: it helps the content stick and gives every activity a purpose. We explain more in company conventions. If your agenda includes training sessions in small groups, see meetings and seminars.
