The challenge
After the 2022 E-Day at Hotel Miramar in Barcelona (see case study), Edenred wanted a change of scene for the 2023 edition. The idea was to leave the city without going too far and turn the day into a fuller experience, with more time for the team.
Sitges ticked every box: coastline, good weather in June, hotels with function rooms and gardens, and a short transfer from Barcelona. The challenge was to fit the working sessions, group activities and celebration into one programme, at a pace that suited every attendee.
What we did
- Venue. E-Day took place at one of the Sitges hotels with a meeting room and large gardens overlooking the sea and the Garraf hills.
- Meetings. We set up the room for the leadership team's talks and sessions, with Edenred branding, projection and sound.
- Team activities. We organised activities in the hotel gardens, with outdoor spaces for group work.
- Food. We coordinated meals and breaks with the hotel, with a fresh menu suited to summer.
- Corporate dinner and dancing. The day ended with a dinner for the whole team and a party.
- End-to-end coordination. A single team managed suppliers, timings and changes of space throughout the programme.
The result
Edenred held its 2023 E-Day in Sitges with a programme combining work, activities and celebration in one venue, a short distance from Barcelona. The format gave the team more time together than a day in the city, while keeping the space needed for the corporate message.
Sitges and the Garraf coast are a good alternative to Barcelona for one or two-day conventions. We cover this in company conventions. If you want the programme to include experiences that reward your team, see incentive travel as well. Team building activities as such are handled by our sister brand Be Events Barcelona.
Thinking about a convention outside Barcelona but close by? Let's talk.
