The challenge
Greentech wanted to offer its guests a gala dinner in Barcelona with a clear cultural theme: the Spanish way of celebrating. For guests visiting from abroad, a gala in the city is also a chance to understand the destination.
The risk with evenings like this is falling into cliché. The challenge was to present recognisable elements of Spanish culture, such as flamenco, with a contemporary staging, and combine them with interactive moments that kept guests engaged throughout the night.
What we did
- Venue. The dinner was held at Llotja de Mar, with its arcaded courtyard and Gothic hall, a historic setting that needs little décor to impress.
- Brand in the space. We projected Greentech's identity with gobos onto the stone walls, elegantly and without covering the architecture.
- Live illustration. We brought in illustrators who drew guests in real time on digital tablets, a personal keepsake of the evening.
- Photo spots and cocktails. We set up photo spots and a creative cocktail offer during the welcome reception.
- Flamenco with lasers. The centrepiece was a flamenco show combining live dance, laser lighting and content on a large-format LED screen.
- Performances. We spread acts across the evening to keep up the pace between courses.
The result
Greentech gave its guests a gala dinner with its own identity in one of Barcelona's most iconic buildings. The evening linked local culture with a contemporary stage language and gave every guest a personal keepsake thanks to the live illustration.
