The challenge
Noatum, a group specialising in logistics and maritime and port services, was turning 60 and wanted to celebrate in Barcelona in style. The chosen venue was MNAC on Montjuïc, specifically its Sala Oval, one of the city's great rooms for gala dinners.
A company anniversary already brings pressure: it is a night the leadership, staff and guests will remember. Holding it in a museum adds more. Set-up times are short, the rules protecting the collection are strict and everything that enters the room has to be planned to the last detail.
What we did
- Advance planning. We worked on the floor plan, access and load-in times with the museum to deliver a fast-track set-up with no surprises.
- Welcome and photo spot. We welcomed guests with the museum's façade lit up and a branded photo spot before they entered the room.
- Stage and screens. We installed a stage, large-format screens and sound and lighting systems for the leadership's speeches and the anniversary audiovisual content.
- Live show. The evening featured castellers, Catalan human towers, performing in the middle of the Sala Oval: a highly visual nod to Catalan culture for the guests.
- Gala dinner. We coordinated dinner service for all attendees, with round tables and lighting designed for the room.
- VIP area. We set aside a reserved space for the leadership team and their key guests.
The result
Noatum celebrated its 60th anniversary with a gala dinner in one of Barcelona's most recognisable venues, with a full programme of welcome, speeches, entertainment and dinner, set up and taken down within the timeframes a museum requires.
