What kind of events does this hotel suit?
Its location makes it useful above all as support for congresses at the CCIB: delegate accommodation, a speaker ready room, committee meetings and satellite symposia for pharmaceutical companies or sponsors. It also works for company meetings and seminars and mid-sized conventions that do not need a large luxury hotel ballroom.
Rooms and capacities
The hotel has 19 meeting rooms and takes up to 670 attendees in its largest format, according to information published with the rebrand. The largest room, called Sagrada Familia, measures 610 m² according to MICE industry directories. Public sources do not agree on the total meeting space, so we do not give it as a figure: when we work with the hotel we request the current technical specifications, with capacities by set-up and ceiling heights.
Getting there
It is at Passeig del Taulat, 278, in the Fòrum area. El Maresme | Fòrum metro station (L4) and the Fòrum tram stop (T4) are very close. From the airport, a coach transfer is the most practical option for a group.
Production tips
- Check the updated specifications. After a change of owner and brand, it is normal for rooms, AV equipment and terms to be renewed. Do not rely on figures from old catalogues.
- Use it to ease pressure on the main venue. At large congresses, moving committee meetings and sponsored symposia to a nearby hotel frees up rooms at the convention centre and reduces costs.
- Coordinate times with the CCIB. If the hotel hosts satellite sessions, adjust the timings so delegates can walk over between blocks without missing the start of the plenary.
What works well nearby
On the same axis are the Hilton Diagonal Mar, with a 1,001 m² Ballroom, and the SLS Barcelona, opened in 2025 at Port Fòrum. Splitting the room block between two or three nearby hotels is common for congresses of more than a thousand delegates.
