What kind of events does the SLS Barcelona suit?

It is one of the most significant hotel openings of recent years in the Fòrum area. It belongs to Ennismore, the lifestyle brands company part-owned by Accor, and was the SLS brand's first opening in Europe. In size and style it suits conventions of 200 to 600 people, gala dinners, product launches and incentive programmes that want a new hotel with its own restaurants and sea views.

Rooms and capacities

The main space is the Gala Ballroom, at 770 m², with capacity for up to 600 people. It is complemented by eight smaller spaces, which the hotel calls Spotlight and Limelight, and two foyers. The whole event area occupies two floors and has a private group entrance, handy for registration without crossing paths with other guests. The hotel does not yet publish a breakdown of capacities by set-up in the sources we have consulted: we request it for each proposal.

Getting there

It is at Port Fòrum, at the end of the Diagonal. El Maresme | Fòrum metro station (L4) and the T4 tram serve the area. For groups arriving from the airport or heading to dinners in the centre, we recommend coaches.

Production tips

Confirm the technical specifications. As a recent hotel, ask for the floor plan, ceiling heights, rigging loads and included AV equipment before designing the staging.
Make use of the group entrance. It lets you set up registration and a photocall without interfering with the lobby.
Think about the outdoors. The seafront invites outdoor drinks, but this area is windy. Always ask for the indoor alternative.
Coordinate with the CCIB calendar. If your event coincides with a large congress, pressure on rooms and services in the area increases.

A few minutes away are the CCIB, the Hilton Diagonal Mar and the Leonardo Royal Hotel Barcelona Forum. Together they let you stage a congress at the CCIB with several accommodation options and a gala at the SLS.
