What kind of events does the CoMB suit?
It is a natural venue for mid-sized medical and scientific congresses, society meetings, continuing education courses and conferences for pharmaceutical or healthcare companies. The combination of a 300-person hall, a foyer for a sponsor exhibition and small rooms lets you run a full programme with plenary, sponsors and workshops. It also suits sector meetings and seminars.
Rooms and capacities
According to the association's venue hire page:
- Congress hall: 300 people, with step-free access.
- Two-level foyer: exhibition of 12 to 20 stands.
- Sala d'actes and other spaces: for ceremonies, conferences and professional meetings.
- Meeting rooms and classrooms: a range of spaces for workshops and breakout sessions.
The CoMB does not publish the size or set-up capacities of each room on that page. We get them from its venue catalogue when preparing your proposal.
Getting there
Passeig de la Bonanova, 47, in Sant Gervasi. The area has good links to the Ronda de Dalt ring road and to the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (Vallès lines, uptown stations). For delegates staying in the centre we arrange coach shuttles at the start and end of each day.
Production tips
- Sponsorship and exhibition. If your congress depends on industry support, design the stand plan along the coffee break route: that is what exhibitors value most.
- Healthcare regulations. For congresses with pharmaceutical sponsorship, review the transparency requirements and the sector's code of practice in good time.
- Office hours. The association's office is open in the mornings and some afternoons. Plan admin and site visits with time to spare.
- Parallel rooms. Book small rooms for the congress secretariat, a speaker ready room and simultaneous workshops.
