What kind of events does Foment del Treball suit?
It is an institutional venue that makes a lot of sense for corporate events: the employers' federation building, on one of the main avenues in the centre. It suits meetings and seminars, sector conferences, press and investor briefings, board meetings and training sessions. For dinner or the social part of the programme, we pair it with nearby venues in El Born or the Gothic Quarter.

How do you book it?
The process Foment publishes is straightforward: a request via online form, advance payment of the hire fee and settlement of extras after the event. Rates distinguish between members and non-members, and between half day and full day for most rooms. We prepare the request, confirm the set-up with Foment's technical team and coordinate the other suppliers.
Getting there
Via Laietana, 32, between the cathedral and El Born. Jaume I (L4) and Urquinaona (L1 and L4) metro stations are a few minutes away. Via Laietana carries heavy traffic: coaches make a brief stop and the group goes straight into the building.
Production tips
- Office hours. Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm. If your day ends with drinks, weigh up whether the extra hour is worth it or whether to move the social part to another venue.
- Extras on top. Catering and other services are quoted as extras. We coordinate them with suppliers who know the building.
- Cancellation. The terms require written notice at least 48 hours ahead; otherwise a penalty on the quote applies.
- Parallel rooms. With ten rooms of different sizes, you can hold a plenary in the auditorium and working groups without leaving the building.
What works well nearby
For dinner, Llotja de Mar and El Born Centre de Cultura are a few minutes' walk away. If you want another room with character in the same neighbourhood, there is the Reial Cercle Artístic or the Ateneu Barcelonès.
