What kind of events does the Ateneu suit?
The Ateneu combines two things many companies look for in a city centre meeting venue: serious, well-equipped rooms and a historic building that gives context. It is a good venue for meetings and seminars, training days, press briefings, board meetings and conferences of up to 239 people. It also works for the content sessions of a small company convention with accommodation in central hotels.

Getting there
Carrer de la Canuda, 6, two minutes from Plaça de Catalunya (metro L1 and L3, FGC and Rodalies). It is a pedestrian street in Ciutat Vella: coaches stop around Plaça de Catalunya and the group walks the last stretch.
Production tips
- Combine auditorium and garden. A plenary in the Oriol Bohigas with a coffee break or lunch in the garden works very well in good weather.
- Ask for the brochure. Capacities by set-up (theatre, classroom, U-shape) are confirmed with the Ateneu. We cover this on the site visit.
- Pedestrian access. Equipment deliveries are coordinated around the area's loading times.
- Member rates. The Ateneu offers special terms for members. If your company is already one, let us know.
What works well nearby
In the same neighbourhood you have the Reial Cercle Artístic, next to the cathedral, and Foment del Treball on Via Laietana. For a high-profile dinner a few minutes away, there is La Pedrera or Casa Batlló.
