Torre de Collserola: dinners and presentations at the highest viewpoint

The Torre de Collserola is Norman Foster's telecommunications tower in the Collserola hills. Its viewing deck on the 10th floor, at 220 m² and 560 metres above sea level, hosts events for up to 100 people. There we created a dinner for Esteve with projection mapping on the table.

What kind of events does the tower suit?

It is a venue for small groups looking for a very specific experience: dining or presenting with the whole metropolitan area at your feet. It works for leadership gala dinners, internal awards, product launches for press or key clients and special evenings within an incentive. For working formats, the reception area at the base allows short sessions or a welcome.

Spaces and capacities

  • Viewing deck (10th floor): 220 m², maximum capacity of 100 people, 115 metres above the base and 560 metres above sea level. Suitable for lunches, dinners, drinks receptions and press conferences, with space for catering and wifi.
  • Reception (at the foot of the tower): 120 m², for welcomes, presentations or meetings, with space for catering.

Both spaces can be hired together or separately. The tower has parking, security, electrical installations and AV support. Catering is provided by external companies, with no exclusivity.

Getting there

The tower is on the Turó de la Vilana, near Tibidabo, within the Parc Natural de Collserola. There is no practical public transport for a group at night: we arrange coaches or minibuses to the outdoor car park, which has around 70 spaces, followed by a walk of around 300 metres to the base.

Production tips

  • Lift shifts. The panoramic lift takes about two and a half minutes. For 100 people, plan the ascent in groups and keep the wait lively in the reception area with an aperitif.
  • Catering logistics. Everything goes up in the same lift. We coordinate advance set-ups and a compact catering office with the caterer.
  • Weather. Wind or storms can interrupt activity at height. Have a plan B ready at the base.
  • Darkness on your side. The night view is the big asset. Low interior lighting and techniques such as table projection mapping, which we used at the Esteve dinner, enhance the experience without competing with the city.

What works well nearby

On the same hillside, Torre Bellesguard is a good venue for a working day before dinner. If you need more capacity for the evening, the MNAC or Llotja de Mar cover groups of several hundred.

Frequently asked questions

How many people does the Torre de Collserola viewing deck hold?

The 10th-floor viewing deck measures 220 m² and has a maximum capacity of 100 people, with various possible layouts, according to the tower's official website.

How do guests get up?

From the car park, guests walk along a pedestrian path of around 300 metres to the base. A glazed panoramic lift goes up to the 10th floor in about two and a half minutes, so with 100 guests you need to organise shifts.

What happens in bad weather?

The tower warns that visits may be temporarily suspended due to adverse weather. For events, we work with an alternative plan in the reception area at the base.

Have you organised events at the tower?

Yes. For Esteve we produced Lights in the Sky, a dinner with bespoke projection mapping on the table, illusionism and signature cocktails.
