What kind of events does CaixaForum suit?
CaixaForum is a cultural venue with an excellent location for events linked to Montjuïc and the Fira. It suits one-day meetings and seminars, company conferences, product launches with a cultural angle and convention days that want to get out of the hotel without leaving the centre. The building, Puig i Cadafalch's former Casaramona textile factory, brings character without the need for staging.
Spaces
According to the official venue hire page, CaixaForum Barcelona offers:
- Auditorium: equipped for concerts, conferences, screenings and similar events.
- Multipurpose rooms: adaptable, from presentations to hands-on workshops.
- Café restaurant: for drinks receptions, coffee breaks or company dinners.
- Events across the building: the centre considers proposals for the building as a whole and its surroundings, subject to availability.

Which format works best?
We mainly plan it as a daytime venue: a morning session in the auditorium, workshops in the multipurpose rooms in the afternoon and breaks or lunch in the café restaurant. If your group is attending a congress or trade show in Montjuïc, CaixaForum is a nearby alternative for a client meeting or partner gathering away from the exhibition centre, without losing time on transfers.
Getting there
Avinguda de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, 6-8, a few minutes' walk from Plaça d'Espanya (metro L1 and L3, FGC). Many city buses stop nearby and coaches can reach it along the avenue.
Production tips
- Institutional process. Requests go through the "la Caixa" Foundation portal. Allow for processing time and prepare a clear description of the event.
- Sharing with the public. It is a centre with open exhibitions. Plan entrances, cloakroom and signage so your guests do not mix with the flow of visitors.
- Chain the formats. A conference in the auditorium followed by drinks in the café restaurant avoids transfers and simplifies logistics.
- Exhibition visit. A guided tour of the current exhibition can work as a break with content.
What works well nearby
