What kind of events does the Fundació Miró suit?

The foundation combines art, Mediterranean architecture and patios open to the sky, which suits the profile of an international congress or a technology company very well. We suggest it for congress welcome receptions, gala dinners for 80 to 150 guests, product launches with a cultural backdrop and short sessions in the auditorium followed by a reception. Private tours of the collection are a good add-on.

Getting there

The foundation is in the Parc de Montjuïc. There is no on-site parking. You can get there by bus (lines 55 and 150), on the Montjuïc funicular from Paral·lel metro (integrated fare) or on foot. For groups, a coach with a drop-off at the door is the practical choice.

Production tips

Almost always outdoors. Most spaces are open-air. From April to November the North Patio needs a tent; the Carob Tree Patio allows an optional 10 x 10 m marquee. Always have a plan B.
Museum hours. The foyer, restaurant and Carob Tree Patio are used outside visiting hours. Other spaces, from 9 am to midnight. The museum closes at 2 am.
Combine spaces. Drinks in the North Patio and dinner in the Cypress Garden is a natural flow.
In-house restaurant. The restaurant offers coffee breaks, drinks receptions and group menus, useful for daytime formats.

What works well nearby

Montjuïc lets you build a complete programme: the MNAC for a large-scale gala, the Castell de Montjuïc for a sunset activity and Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc for the congress sessions. The Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya offers working rooms on the same hill.

What is the largest space at the Fundació Joan Miró?

The North Patio, at 225 m², holds 250 people for drinks, 150 for a gala and 120 theatre-style, and can be extended with a 150 m² side area. The Cypress Garden (240 m²) adds 200 for drinks or theatre-style.

Can you hold a conference at the foundation?

Yes. The auditorium, on level -1, measures 200 m² and has 180 theatre-style seats, available from 9 am to midnight. Afterwards you can move on to drinks in the patios.

What are the limitations?

The museum must be closed by 2 am. The North Patio requires a tent from April to November and several spaces can only be used outside museum opening hours. There is no on-site parking.
