The challenge
Edenred wanted to bring its entire workforce together for one event. The chosen format was hybrid: an in-person part with speakers and the leadership team, and a broadcast so the rest of the company could follow live from wherever they were.
A poorly planned hybrid event turns into a long video call. The challenge was to make viewers watching on screen feel part of the event: good direction, a TV-style pace, engaging content and ways to take part.
What we did
- Concept. The event was presented under the name Edvolution, with its own visual identity applied to the space and the broadcast.
- Studio in a unique venue. We turned a Barcelona venue with stone walls and an industrial structure into a studio, with an interview area, screens for remote links and branded set design.
- Speakers. The programme featured two very different speakers: Marc Vidal, known for his talks on the economy and digital transformation, and Alex Roca, an athlete who speaks about resilience and effort.
- Direction and streaming. We installed a multi-camera production gallery with vision mixing and a centralised live stream to reach every employee.
- Host. A host led the programme and introduced speakers, remote links and audience participation.
- Participation. We integrated an interactive app so the audience, both in the room and remote, could send questions and join live activities.
The result
Edenred reached its whole workforce with a single event, combining the energy of a live production with the reach of a digital broadcast. Employees watching remotely had a programme designed for the screen and tools to take part.
Hybrid formats are still useful for company conventions with dispersed teams. We explain how in company conventions and meetings and seminars. With Edenred we have also produced its in-person E-Day events (see case study).
