What kind of events does Fàbrica Moritz suit?
It is an urban, central venue with a clear identity: restored industrial architecture and good food. It suits product launches, meetings and seminars of up to 190 people that end with dinner, team dinners after a trade show and informal gala dinners. Which format works best?
A format that works very well here is the short session with a food finale: arrival and coffee in the Brasserie, a presentation or working session in Sala 39 in the late afternoon and, without changing building, drinks or dinner in the same room or in the Sala de Tancs. For small leadership groups, the Sala Louis Moritz allows a private dinner for up to 50 guests.
Getting there
Ronda de Sant Antoni, 41, level with the Mercat de Sant Antoni. Sant Antoni (L2) and Universitat (L1 and L2) metro stations are a few minutes away. It is easy to reach on foot from hotels in the Eixample and around Plaça de Catalunya.
Production tips
- Food comes first. The kitchen is part of what the venue offers. Set the menu early and use it as part of the event content.
- Combine rooms. A presentation in Sala 39 and drinks in the Brasserie or Sala de Tancs avoids changeovers with the group waiting.
- A busy road. The Ronda carries a lot of traffic. For coaches, we agree nearby drop-off points and staggered arrivals.
- Ceilings and structure. Heights range from 3.2 to 5.4 metres depending on the room. Bear this in mind if you want large screens or tall staging.
What works well nearby
The MNAC and the Poble Espanyol are a few minutes away by coach for a larger-scale gala. For daytime meetings in the centre, the Ateneu Barcelonès and the Institut d'Estudis Catalans are a short walk away.
