Why it works

  • Seafront hotel with 213 rooms: the whole group sleeps under one roof.
  • A 400 m² Main Studio that divides into three rooms, so you move from plenary to workshops without changing floor.
  • An afternoon of sailing, paddle boarding or the old town in smaller groups, a few minutes from the hotel.
  • Sunset cocktail on the eighth-floor rooftop and a convention dinner followed by a party.
  • A team with real experience in Sitges: Duscholux, Edenred, Provital and the hotel's own Utopic parties.

Suggested agenda

A starting programme. We adapt it to your group, dates and budget.

Day 1

Arrival, plenary, the sea and the convention dinner

A morning of content in the Main Studio, an afternoon of experiences around Sitges and an evening of dinner and party at the hotel.

  1. Transfer

    Coach departure from Barcelona

We pick the group up at the airport, at Sants station or at a central meeting point. The drive along the C-32 takes about 40 minutes in normal traffic.

  2. Arrival

    Registration and welcome coffee

Registration desk at the entrance to the meetings centre, luggage storage and coffee overlooking the garden. Room check-in follows after lunch.

  3. Plenary

    Convention opening

Leadership welcome in the Main Studio at full capacity, with stage, screen and live vision mixing. We set the objectives for the two days and present the agenda.

  4. Keynote

    Guest keynote

A 45-minute talk by an external speaker aligned with the year's message: leadership, change or the customer. Includes a moderated Q&A.

  5. Break

    Coffee break

A 30-minute break in the foyer and the garden area, with gluten-free and lactose-free options clearly labelled.

  6. Workshop

    Team workshops

We split the Main Studio into its three Garden rooms and use the Vintage Studio for a fourth group. Each workshop has a facilitator and a specific question to answer before lunch.

  7. Lunch

    Mediterranean lunch

Lunch in the hotel restaurant, or on the terrace if the weather allows, with seasonal market cooking and brisk service so the afternoon is not cut short.

  8. Free time

    Check-in and free time

Keys ready in advance from the rooming list and half an hour to change before the activity.

  9. Activity

Sitges in smaller groups: sailing or the old town

Each attendee chooses: a sailing regatta with qualified skippers or paddle boarding, or a guided walk through the old town taking in Cau Ferrat, Palau de Maricel and the church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla. If the wind picks up, sailing becomes a bike ride along the promenade.

  10. Wellbeing

    Pool, spa or beach

An hour and a half to unwind: outdoor pool, treatments in the hotel's wellness area or a stroll along Terramar beach.

  11. Activity

    Sunset cocktail on the rooftop

Drinks at Radio Rooftop, on the eighth floor, with Penedès wines and views over the Mediterranean. This is the moment for the group photo.

  12. Dinner

    Convention dinner

Plated dinner in a hotel room dressed with the convention's branding, with recognition awards between courses. Alternative: dinner at Mas Solers, a country estate in the Garraf about 15 minutes away.

  13. Party

    Party with DJ

Open bar and DJ until the time agreed with the hotel. We have produced several editions of the Utopic New Year's Eve parties right here, so we know the venue's timings and acoustics.

Penedès extension
Add a morning or afternoon visit to a cava house in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, with a tasting and lunch among the vineyards, about 35-40 minutes from Sitges.
The Garraf on foot or by e-bike
Swap sailing for a guided route through the Parc del Garraf, with views over the coast, or move the dinner to the Mas Solers estate in Sant Pere de Ribes.
Groups of more than 250
For large groups we move the plenary to the Meliá Sitges auditorium, which holds up to 1,384 people, and spread accommodation across hotels.

Why Sitges for a company convention?

Sitges solves an equation few destinations manage: a beach, a lively old town and hotels with proper meeting rooms, about 40 minutes from Barcelona and the airport. The group gets a change of scene without spending half the day on the road, and the trip itself feels like a reward for the team.

Scale matters to the organiser too. Sitges is small enough to walk between the hotel, the marina and the centre, and well equipped enough to host groups of several hundred. That is why it works so well for sales conferences, start-of-year kick-offs and dealer meetings with an incentive element.

What you see here is an outline programme: the structure, timings and activities that have worked best for us in Sitges. We tailor it to your objective, group size and season in the proposal, which we send within 24 business hours.

ME Sitges Terramar as your base

We choose ME Sitges Terramar as the main venue for three practical reasons. First, the whole group sleeps in the same building: the hotel has 213 rooms, most of them with sea views. Second, the meetings centre is designed for conventions: 9 rooms, including a 400 m² Main Studio that divides into three Garden rooms and a 180 m² Vintage Studio for a fourth working group. Third, the setting: it is 50 metres from Terramar beach, at the quiet end of the promenade, with an eighth-floor rooftop that takes care of the sunset cocktail.

We know the building well. We have produced several editions of the Utopic New Year's Eve parties there, which gives us useful insight for your convention: build-up times, how each room sounds with music and how a large group moves around best.

How does the programme adapt to 80 or 250 people?

With 80 people, the plenary fits in a single Garden room or the Vintage Studio, the workshops spread across the smaller rooms and dinner can move outside the hotel, for example to the Mas Solers estate in the Garraf, where we organised the Fiberpachs convention.

With 250 people we use the full Main Studio for the plenary and divide it for the workshops, the afternoon activity runs in four or five smaller groups with staggered departures, and dinner stays at the hotel to keep transfers simple. Above that number we suggest Meliá Sitges, which has an auditorium for up to 1,384 people, and spread accommodation across hotels.

Group size Plenary Workshops Dinner
50-100 people Vintage Studio or one Garden room Smaller hotel rooms Hotel or an estate in the Garraf
100-250 people Full Main Studio Divided Main Studio and Vintage Studio Hotel
More than 250 Meliá Sitges auditorium Meetings centre rooms Hotel or outdoor venue

Logistics and transfers

The coach journey from Barcelona along the C-32 takes about 40 minutes, a little less from the airport. We schedule departure at 8:30 to beat the rush hour and arrive in time for an unhurried registration. On the way back, leaving around 15:30 gives anyone flying that afternoon plenty of margin to reach the airport.

Once there, almost everything is on foot: the marina, the beach and the old town are a few minutes from the hotel. You only need transport if you take dinner or an activity out to the Garraf or the Penedès.

What changes with the season

From May to October, sailing, paddle boarding and lunch on the beach take centre stage in the afternoon. In spring and autumn the weather is still mild and hotel rates drop compared with high summer. In winter we swap the sea for the old town, museums, the Penedès and indoor activities, and the hotel's spa and rooftop come into their own. We look at it month by month in our guide to the best time of year for events.

Some dates deserve a closer look: the October film festival and Carnival fill Sitges and push up accommodation prices.

Budget: what it depends on

We do not publish fixed prices because every convention is different. The main cost lines are accommodation, meeting rooms and AV, coffee breaks and meals, dinner and party, activities, transfers and coordination. What moves the cost per person most is the season, the day of the week, the number of services outside the hotel and the technical production of the plenary. We break it down line by line in the proposal, and our guide how much a convention costs explains each factor.

What we have done in Sitges

Sitges is one of the destinations where we have worked most outside Barcelona. We organised the Duscholux dealer convention around the concept 'El poder del cambio' (The power of change), two editions of Edenred's E-Day with meetings, team building and dinner, Provital's Providay and the Fiberpachs convention at Mas Solers. That experience is what sits behind the timings in this programme.

If you are after something shorter or more urban, see the two-day programme in Barcelona. If you would rather have mountains than sea, the convention in Montserrat is a similar distance away. All the options are in convention programmes, and to see how we approach the working sessions, visit company conventions.

Does Sitges fit your next convention? Tell us your dates and group size and we will send you a proposal within 24 business hours.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to get from Barcelona to Sitges with a group?

By coach, about 35 minutes from the airport and 40 to 45 from central Barcelona in normal traffic. We avoid the rush hours in and out of the city. There is also a direct commuter train, handy for attendees travelling independently.

How many people can ME Sitges Terramar handle?

The hotel has 213 rooms and a 400 m² main room that divides into three. It works very well for 50 to 250 people with accommodation. For larger groups we suggest Meliá Sitges, which has an auditorium for up to 1,384 people.

What happens if it is windy or rainy on the sailing day?

Every outdoor activity has a plan B confirmed before travel: a bike ride or walk through the old town, museum visits or an indoor team activity at the hotel. We decide on the morning with the weather forecast.

Can the convention be done in a single day?

Yes. Sitges is close enough for a full-day format with no overnight stay. You lose the dinner and the party, but keep the plenary, workshops, lunch by the sea and an activity.

Have you organised events in Sitges?

Yes. We have produced the Duscholux dealer convention, two editions of Edenred's E-Day, Provital's Providay, the Fiberpachs convention at Mas Solers and several Utopic New Year's Eve parties at ME Sitges Terramar itself.
